Paula Clerici, Manager of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility

Paula manages Enterprising Solutions’ CSR sustainability program. With a background in political science, Paula has worked extensively on a broad range of CSR issues for the past five years, with a focus on developing CSR reporting formats and systems. Paula has been instrumental in the development and support of the Enterprising Solutions’ CSR for Sustainability services, as well as the management of the company’s sustainability knowledge management projects. A native of Argentina, Paula speaks Spanish and English and currently resides in the U.K.

Antonia de Sousa-Shields, President and Managing Partner, Enterprising Solutions

Tonia oversees Enterprising Solutions’ general business activities, including strategic planning and corporate development. She ensures contract, administrative and financial compliance for the firm, as well as provides strategic input on consulting assignment management and project design. Her primary consulting assignments focus on helping organizations develop the capacity to plan for and implement change, from project concept and design, to human resource management, to financing, monitoring and evaluation. Tonia participates on the management teams of the firm’s major development projects where she provides strategic planning support and oversight.

Tonia has been actively involved with international development for almost twenty years in management positions with NGOs, funders, industry associations and small business. Prior to co-founding Enterprising Solutions, she served as the Executive Director of an international development industry association where she was responsible for managing overall operations and relations with member organizations, funding agencies, and  government. Tonia is a native of Canada, currently residing in Mexico.

Marc de Sousa-Shields, Director, Managing Partner

Marc supervises Enterprising Solutions’ corporate social responsibility practice area and  oversees the firm’s research and knowledge management activities.  He compiles market trends and lessons learned from consultancies to feedback into company priorities, future consultancies and to share with the various enterprise development communities. His primary consulting assignments focus on feasibility studies, evaluations and, most significantly, helping clients understands market trends and opportunities for strategic development and future projects.

Marc has over twenty years of experience working in the field of economic development, serving a range of clients including the World Bank, the IFC, Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Soros Foundation, the IADB, ADB and USAID. Marc also has experience working at a senior level for a selection of banks and financial cooperatives. Before co-founding Enterprising Solutions, Marc co-founded and was the Executive Director of the Social Investment Organization of Canada. In this role, he helped to catalyze the creation of numerous enterprise initiatives for sustainability, including a variety corporate social and environmental responsibility projects. Marc is a native of Canada, currently residing in Mexico.

Silvia Figueroa, Director Finance

Silvia manages Enterprising Solutions’ Finance and Accounting Unit, where she oversights activities related to cost accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance, and is responsible for financial tracking and forecasting to support business planning.  Silvia participates on the management teams of the firm’s major development projects where she provides financial planning support and oversight.

Previous to working with Enterprising Solutions, Silvia worked in a number of multinational firms in the areas of accounting and administration.   She is a native of Mexico, where she also resides.

Pearson Kalungulungu, Senior Manager, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Microfinance Projects

Pearson brings thirteen years of work experience in SME and microfinance development to his work with Enterprising Solutions.  He is the Chief of Party of the MITAF program, a major financial sector integration program being managed by Enterprising Solutions in Sierra Leone, that has been catalytic in developing the microfinance sector in Sierra Leone with local and international MFIs, government, and key donors.  Pearson’s consulting assignments have focused on providing training and technical assistance in areas such as accounting, financial analysis, business planning, delinquency management, governance, internal controls and credit officer training.

Prior to working with Enterprising Solutions, Pearson worked for Small Enterprise Promotions Limited, a subsidiary of the Development Bank of Zambia, for five years as an Operations Manager. In this role he facilitated credit applications from both microenterprises and SMEs. He also worked with the Southern African Microfinance Capacity Building Facility as a Microfinance Specialist.   Pearson is a native of Zambia and currently resides in Sierra Leone.

Dennis Kiyimba, Senior Manager, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Microfinance Projects

Dennis brings 13 years of enterprise and development banking experience to his work with Enterprising Solutions.  His consulting practice focus on small and micro financial institutional technical assistance in the areas of credit management, credit officer training, loan portfolio reviews, the establishment of cash flow based individual lending, MIS upgrading, product development, internal controls systems, drafting policy and procedure manuals and transformation studies. Dennis’s work also includes advising and implementing bank downscaling, MFI transformations, and rural finance.

Prior to working with Enterprising Solutions, Dennis worked for over ten years for Centenary Rural Development Bank in various roles throughout the institution.  Subsequently, he provide technical assistance for the roll-out of new microfinance products at Equity Bank in Kenya.  Dennis is a native of Uganda where he currently resides.

Liliana Pozzo, Director Microfinance and SME Department

Liliana brings to Enterprising Solutions strong financial, planning and program management skills from her financial and operations management experience in the field to her role as the Director of Enterprising Solutions’ Microfinance and SME Department.   Her primary consulting assignments include a variety of assignments with financial institutions, from streamlining operations through to full-fledged restructuring plans, training and financial assessments. 

Liliana brings significant management consulting experience to her role with Enterprising Solutions, with three years as a field consultant for the firm and previous to that four years with BearingPoint Management and Technology Consultants. Before this she has several years experience as finance and human resource manager of a leading microfinance organizations.  Liliana is a native of Honduras, currently living in France.

Patricia Herrera, Manager, Accounting Unit
Patricia manages Enterprising Solutions’ Accounting operations. Paty supervises overall company and project accounting, processes and controls, and reporting. She brings 13 years of work experience within the administration and taxation departments of various transnational companies. Paty is Mexican and is based in Mexico.

AMAP Microfinance and Financial Services Consortiums
Enterprising Solutions is a member of the Chemonics International Consortium, which was awarded the right to bid on USAID contracts for the microfinance component of the Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement Project (AMAP) Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) and USAID’s Financial Services IQC.
